Congratulations January 2007	Zheng Li has submitted his Masters (Research) thesis.
Welcome January 2007	James Lin has joined the AutoCRC Proactive Maintenance project as a Research Engineer.
Grant December 2006	We are part of the successful Smart Services CRC bid, which has received over $30 million government funding for the next 7 years.
Welcome December 2006	Alan Colman has taken up a lecturer position with CITR as a member of our group.
Welcome November 2006	Nikhil Alave has joined the AutoCRC Proactive Maintenance project as a Research Engineer.
Welcome November 2006	Upon submitting his PhD thesis, Antony Tang has taken up the Senior Research Fellow position on the AutoCRC Proactive Maintenance project.

Grant October 2006	Jun Han and Jean-Guy have been awarded an ARC Linkage Project grant ($273K over 3 years) in the area of Rich Service Registry, with additional support from our industry partner CA.
Grant September 2006	The AutoCRC Proactive Maintenance research project that has been undertaken by CeCSES has been significantly expanded. The AutoCRC has committed $1.2M to the project/CeCSES over 3 years.
Welcome September 2006	Tan Manh Phan has formally commenced his PhD study under the supervision of Jun Han and Jean-Guy Schneider.
Congratulations July 2006	Congratulations to Tan Manh Phan for successfully completing his honours thesis with high distinction, and being awarded an CA PhD scholarship to research into Rich Service Registry.
Welcome 20 February 2006	Welcome back to Linh Duy Pham, who rejoins CeCSES as a Research Masters student with university scholarship support, to work with Jean-Guy Schneider, Jun Han and Alan Colman on Adaptive Software Systems.

Grant January 2006	Jun Han, Chengfei Liu and Jean-Guy Schneider have been awarded the 2-year Proactive Maintenance research project from the AutoCRC.
Grant January 2006	Jun Han and Jean-Guy Schneider have secured support for two collaborative research projects with CA’s R&D Labs on Rich Service Registry and Enterprise Systems Simulation Environment.
Grant 9 January 2006	Jun Han and Ryszard Kowalczyk have been awarded a university research grant for the research project on security engineering for service oriented systems.
Congratulations December 2005	Congratulations to Artem Vorobiev on receiving an IBM PhD Student Fellowship in software security, which enables him to visit IBM Tokyo Research Labs from February 2006 for 3 months.
Welcome 28 Sept 2005	Welcome to Prof John Grundy, University of Auckland, who will visit us for two weeks on research collaboration.
Grant Sept 2005	CeCSES has been granted a research contract on system performance and scalability from a major utility company.
Information 9 Aug 2005	The inaugural information evening of eSecurity Victoria was held in Melbourne CBD, where Prof Jun Han gave a presentation entitled “Universities and an eSecurity Cluster in Victoria” on behalf of Victorian universities. CeCSES is one of the initiators for the eSecurity Victoria initiative. Here are some photos from the evening.
Welcome July 2005	Welcome to Phan Manh Tan, who rejoins our centre to pursue his honours study with Yan Jin and Jun Han, Linh Duy Pham, who commences his undergraduate research project with Alan Colman and Jun Han, and Krzysztof Sierszecki, who visits our centre for 6 months from the University of Southern Denmark.
Grant June 2005	Jun Han is a chief investigator in the successful ARC Linkage grant, “Agent-enabled social networks”, which has attracted ARC funding of $207,000 over 3 years (2005-2008).
Welcome 26 May 2005	Welcome to Dr Markus Lumpe of Department of Computer Science at Iowa State University, who visits us for research collaboration until 20 June 2005.
Collaboration April 2005	CeCSES has established research collaboration with Sparx Systems, the developer of the UML tool Enterprise Architect, to jointly develop UML-based tool support for a software architecture rationalisation methodology.
Conference March 2005	CeCSES will co-organise the 2006 Australian Software Engineering Conference to be held in Sydney on 18-21 April 2006, with Prof Jun Han being invited to serve as its programme committee co-chair.

News/Grant 21 Dec 2004	The Australian Government announces the successful bid of the CRC for Advanced Automotive Technology (AutoCRC) with funding of $38.35 million, of which CeCSES is a partner in the area of safety-critical software engineering.

Conference June 2004	Jean-Guy Schneider has attended and presented at ECOOP'04
Grant May 2004	Jointly with Ryszard Kowalczyk, Jun Han has been awarded major DEST funding for the project, Adaptive Service Agreement and Process Management (ASAPM) in Services Grid, involving collaboration with Telstra, DSTO, EIN, UQ, VUT and the EU Adaptive Service Grids Consortium. The project has also received the VC's Strategic Research Initiative funding.
Conference April 2004	The group has successfully organised the 5th Australasian Workshop on Software and System Architectures (AWSA04), held in conjunction with ASWEC04. Many of the group members attended AWSA04 & ASWEC04.
